PASSERIFORMES: Ptilonorhynchidae
Ptilonorhynchus nuchalis
I watched and listened to a male Great Bowerbird do a song and dance routine around his bower picking up various bright pink objects and putting them down when suddenly a female turned up and began to look at his bower. She hopped through the bower which caused the male to redouble his efforts to impress with song and dance and display of his mauve coloured feathers on the back of his neck.
